The role of our Public Affairs effort is to build and foster relations with local media outlets and the general public for the purpose sharing the story of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and mostly, recreational boating safety. We make public appearances at local community events, provide speeches and presentations to civic and community groups and organizations, visit with local students and schools, and work closely with local officials in the boating industry.
